Our Story
Why the firm is called Genesis
Genesis means a beginning — and most of the work we do sits at the start of something. A business being formed. A first year of payroll. A first set of books that finally makes sense. A plan put in place before a decision instead of after it.
The firm was built around a straightforward belief: technical competence is the price of entry, and the thing that actually distinguishes an accounting practice is how far it will go for the people it serves. Clients should feel known rather than processed. They should be able to reach a person who already understands their situation. And they should hear from their accountant at times of year that have nothing to do with a filing deadline.
With the merger of Hawkins & Company into Genesis Tax & Accounting Solutions LLC, the practice combines that service standard with a wider range of capabilities — bookkeeping, payroll, tax planning, IRS representation and advisory work that supports business owners throughout the year.
